Vancouver Whitecaps FC2 have announced the fee agent signing of New Zealand international Deklan Wynne.

Wynne, who was born in South Africa, has three senior Caps for the All Whites and made his senior debut in November 2014 against China.  He has also played at the U-20 and U-23 level for New Zealand.

Wynne was the centre of controversy last month after Vanuatu lodged a complaint with the Oceania Football Confederation regarding his eligibility to play for the Kiwis. As a result of the complaint the OFC disqualified New Zealand from the tournament.  New Zealand Football is currently appealing the decision, because if upheld then the Oly Whites would miss out on a berth in the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

Deklan played his youth football for East Coast Bays AFC before moving to Wanders SC in 2013, where he was a made twenty-six appearances and a was a regular in the starting XI.

"Deklan has a cultured left foot and is very comfortable on the ball.  He comes from a good environment and is willing to learn. We're looking forward to getting him intergrated with the team."
