Best Vancouver Whitecaps Goal: Sweet 16 - Part 1

The Round of 32 voting has concluded. We have a couple of close matches but also a bunch of blowouts. Camilo beat Waston 62-0. Yikes! A few other interesting ‘stats’ from the Round of 32. Alphonso Davies went 2/2, Camilo 1/2 (possibly my mistake, as I picked the wrong goal from the Chicago Fire game), Cristian Techera 1/3, Kenny Miller 1/2. On the other side, both of Kendall Waston’s goals were knocked out. Makes sense as they were good moments but not necessarily great goals. Potentially surprising is that Yordy Reyna went 0/3! He had strong opponents, but nothing too major. Reyna was against Pedro Morales free kick, Andrew Jacobson, and Cristian Techera’s falling down goal. Anyway, on to the Sweet 16. For this round, we will be doing two match-ups a day, to get us to the Elite 8!

Today we look at the top left-hand corner of the bracket. Blas Perez beat out Alan Rochat 50-42, Alphonso Davies beat Y.P. Lee 73-10, Pedro Morales beat Yordy Reyna 53-25, and Ali Adnan got past Kenny Miller 55-25.
