Whitecaps on Loan (April 2018)

New, 6 comments

The Sugarcanes:

Marco Bustos played 32 minutes in Zacatepec’s 1-0 loss to Alebrijes de Oaxaca. Zacatepec are now on a season break and Bustos has been back training with the Whitecaps in the meantime.

Motagua:

Motagua have terminated Deybi Flores’ loan. This after the midfielder had refused to report to the club’s reserve side for several months. Flores’ future with the Whitecaps is unclear.

The City of Fountains:

Spencer Richey played 90 minutes, kept a clean sheet, and was involved in the build up to Kenny Walker’s wonder goal in FC Cincinnati’s 3-0 win over Ottawa Fury.

Hell Hath No...:

Doneil Henry made the bench against F.C Cincinnati after being loaned to Ottawa Fury for a month. He will likely get on the field more in the month of May after he has some time to train with the team.

The Foxes:

Noah Verhoeven: Played 33 minutes against in a 1-1 draw with St. Louis, played 71 minutes and had an assist on Pedro Ribiero’s long range goal against Tulsa in a 2-2 draw, and played 73 minutes in a 0-0 draw with San Antonio.

Terran Campbell: played 11 minutes against St. Louis and 1 minute against San Antonio. Campbell, a player Carl Robinson identified as a player he believed could take a big step this year, has cumulatively played 17 minutes for Fresno this year.

Cory Brown: Played 90 minutes in a 1-1 draw with St. Louis.

Matthew Baldisimo: Still yet to make a competitive appearance for Fresno. Apparently this is partly due to injury.

Sean Melvin: Since signing a first team contract with the Whitecaps Melvin has stopped appearing on the Fresno bench and Fresno have signed another keeper so i’m assuming the Whitecaps have pulled him out.

Chainsaws:

Myer Bevan has had a lively start to his time in Sweden. He played 45 minutes in a 2-1 loss to Oddevold, Played 90 minutes and scored a goal in a 3-2 loss to Utsiktens, and drew a foul that lead to OAIK goalkeeper Phillippos Sachsanidis being sent off in a 3-1 loss. Husqvarna are struggling however as they are second from the bottom with only a point from four games.
