Guess the Starting XI and Final Score: Voyageurs Cup & May Recap

With the conclusion of non-mls matches for the Vancouver Whitecaps this season, and the end of May, we recap the final standings for each contest.

Usually, I would put this information into the follow match’s post, however, I felt that there was enough here to warrant its own article. With the Montreal Impact match on Tuesday we saw two of our season competitions come to an end. The first is the obvious month of May. The second is our non-mls contest. Our May contest consisted of 6 matches, as did our non-mls contest. We all hoped for more in the non-mls I am sure, but so be it.

I know that we have some other stats aficionados here, so I wanted to take this opportunity to provide you with all the numbers from the two contests so everyone can see how they did match to match and in different categories. We will start with the May contest and conclude with the non-mls contest.

Congrats to Jacinto on a stellar May. Correctly predicted the winner five out of six times and had an average lineup score of 10 out of 11. If Arjon hadn't made a goal scorer prediction the first match, the two would have tied. Speaking of goal scorer predictions, only The Squirrel and rtomsheck benefited from this category. Everyone else lost points. I will look at revising the category a bit to make it more useful. Also, your feedback on the category and how to modify it would be appreciated.

Congrats to.....ME! on winning the Non-MLS contest. Some good scores here. A shame we had to cut it off after six matches.

I hope you enjoyed these two contests. I will keep a June standings, but I don't think we will have any special scoring system included. Just a simple month. Thanks everyone for participating.
