The Whitecaps come into this match staring a daunting month in the face. With Tigres (and a chance to advance to the CCL Final) mid-week, a trip to RSL next weekend, home to Seattle, and away to Portland and Montreal, picking up points is of highest importance. Should they beat Tigres by the required 3 goals, they’ll add in 2 more matches sandwiched around the Portland away match, Robinson’s man management skills will be put to the test moreso than it already has been. The big news out of Caps land is the departure of Kekuta Manneh, in exchange for Tony Tchani, 300K in Allocation Money, a conditional first round pick, and more GAM should Columbus re-sign or sell Manneh. With Tigres waiting in the wings, it’s hard to say what sort of lineup Robinson will field for this one.

The Galaxy enter this match on the verge of being fully healthy. While they aren’t the marquee name laden side they used to be, they still have some pretty formidable names. Gio Dos Santos and Ashley Cole have both declared themselves ready to start and Gyasi Zardes will be ready if called upon. On the other side, they learned that they will be without USMNT midfielder Sebastian Lletget. I expect to see a fully healthy side from LA.
