According to ITV.com, the Vancouver Whitecaps are set to sign ex-Watford midfielder Ross Jenkins. The report says Jenkins will sign with the Whitecaps at the end of the month, and has even rejected offers from Scotland and England to do so. He played with ACS Poli Timișoara last season, and also represented England as part of the U-20 team in 2009.
Jenkins is just 26 years old, and I would say despite his impressive pedigree, is an unknown quantity. The Whitecaps are in need of some serious talent in their attack, both at the midfield and striker position, and who knows if Jenkins would be able to contribute to that.
In any case, it’s just a rumor at this point. What do you think about the potential move?
