Kekuta Manneh Latest Vancouver Whitecap to be Suspended

Manneh will sit one match for an incident that occurred in the New York loss over the weekend

Adam Hunger-USA TODAY Sports

MLS has come down on the Vancouver Whitecaps again, as Kekuta Manneh has been handed a one match suspension for an incident that occurred during the Whitecaps loss to NYCFC over the weekend.

In the 68th minute, Manneh appeared to stomp on the leg of midfielder Frederic Bravo while chasing a ball. According to MLS, the play "endangered the safety of an opponent."

That means Manneh will miss Saturday's match versus Portland. However, Marc Weber reports Octavio Rivero may be back training on Thursday, after suffering an ankle injury versus New York over the weekend.
