Kekuta Manneh Named Player of the Week

New, comments

Congratulations to Kekuta!

Tom Szczerbowski-USA TODAY Sports

A monster performance against Toronto FC has earned Vancouver Whitecaps striker Kekuta Manneh a Player of the Week nod, the first time a Whitecap has gotten the honor this season.

In case you forgot, Manneh had two goals and an assist during the Whitecaps thrilling win over Toronto, and he also chipped in with an assist during the Chicago Fire match on Wednesday. Not a bad week at the office for the 21 year old, who was also named to the MLS Team of the Week along with Blas Perez on Monday. Captain Pedro Morales was named to the bench there, as well.

Hopefully Manneh will continue his excellent stretch of production, as the Whitecaps take on Portland on Sunday.
