Vancouver Whitecaps Center Back Kendall Waston is the first Whitecap to make it to an MLS Team of the Week in 2016. Waston was recognized for his outstanding performance against the Seattle Sounders on Saturday, one that saw the Whitecaps earn their first points of the season.
According to the media release, Waston had 11 clearances, five interceptions, and three blocks in the Whitecaps 2-1 victory.

Unfortunately, the Whitecaps will be without his services this weekend against Houston, as he has international duty with Costa Rica.
