Alphonso Davies, Matthew Baldisimo Signed to WFC 2

The youngsters obviously made an impression on Whitecaps brass

The Vancouver Whitecaps have rewarded midfielder/striker Alphonso Davies for his impressive pre-season camp, signing the 15 year old to a professional contract with their USL affiliate, WFC 2. The club did the same for 18 year old defender/midfielder Matthew Baldisimo.

Baldisimo comes with the Canuck connection, having been born and raised in Burnaby. He's been part of the Whitecaps since he joined the pre-residency program back in 2011.

Davies was born in Liberia, but raised in Edmonton Alberta. According to the Whitecaps media release, he is now the youngest player in the USL.
