WFC2 Strengthen Defensive Corps

European duo of Elliot Green and Sem de Wit bring wealth of experience in pro ranks to their new club.

The Vancouver Whitecaps FC2's busy offseason continued on Wednesday with the announcement of the signing of a pair of European defenders.

22-year-old Enlgishman Elliot Green, who played every match for Swedish second division club Ånge IF in 2015, is joined by 20-year-old Sem de Wit, who hails from Harderwijk, Holland.  The pair will help bolster an already strong defensive corps at WFC2.

"For young players, Elliot and Sem each already have more than 50 professional matches under their belt. That experience sets them up to be successful coming into our group.  Elliot is skilled on the ball and has a good physical presence about him. Sem is a character guy who's very mobile and excellent in possession. We're excited to bring them into our team."
