Vancouver Whitecaps Center Back Tim Parker has been called up to the Senior United States Men's National Team, the first time he's ever been called up to the Senior squad. The training camp is set to include friendlies versus Iceland and Canada.
The training camp will take place from January 10th to February 6th at the StubHub center in Carson, California. According to WhitecapsFC.com, Parker will then join the Whitecaps in Arizona to play in the 2016 Desert Friendlies.
The 22 year old was a question mark heading into the season after the Whitecaps drafted him in the first round of the 2015 MLS SuperDraft, but he proved his worth as the season wore on. He eventually started 14 times in the regular season and appeared a total of 15 times. He also played every minute of both of the Whitecaps playoff matches versus the Portland Timbers.
