Steve Nash is expanding his interest in soccer; the Whitecaps part-owner has now purchased a stake in Spanish Club Real Mallorca.
Nash has been part-owner of the Whitecaps since 2008, and according to MLSSoccer.com, he's purchased shares worth more than 20 million dollars with Phoenix Suns owner Robert Sarver and Suns Vice Chairman Andy Kohlberg.
Nash, of course, played for the NBA franchise for 8 seasons between 2004 and 2012.
Real Mallorca were relegated to second division in 2013, but were in La Liga for 16 straight seasons before that. The club also declared bankruptcy in 2010.
