A trio of Vancouver Wihtecaps youngsters have been called up to the Canadian Men's National Team for an upcoming camp and friendly match against the United States Men's squad. Sam Adekugbe, Marco Bustos and Kianz Froese have all gotten the call, while residency graduates Caleb Clarke, Callum Irving and Adam Straith have also been invited.
One notable name left off that list; Russell Teibert. However, it looks like it's injury related, as the Whitecaps later confirmed Teibert underwent successful surgery for a bone spur in his left ankle. Teibert had the surgery done today, and is expected to be ready for the beginning of Whitecaps training camp.
