For the.....20th time? This season, Waston has been disciplined by MLS

OMG!!! THEY ARE GOING TO KISS!!!!!

That was my experience of this incident in the 86th minute between Vancouver Whitecaps Kendall Waston and Seattle Sounders Clint Dempsey. Apparently Major League Soccer saw it differently.

MLS have fined Kendall Waston 'an undisclosed amount for violating MLS's policy regarding Hands to the Face/Head/Neck of an opponent'. Odd rule, but fine, whatever. And so, Waston is suspended or fined yet again this season. I am not sure how many that makes now, but he has certainly garnered a lot of attention from the league this year. While some (most?) of the infractions against Waston have been unsubstantiated, he certainly has a reputation. Hopefully this does not continue to be an issue next season. He has made a concerted effort to decrease his emotional response during games to the calls against him. Whether that results in fewer phantom yellow cards, or fines, is unclear. Regardless, it should make a difference to his ability to maintain focus during the game.
