David Ousted Nominated for More Accolades

He's already landed on Team of the Week, now Ousted has been nominated for Save of the Week, and Player of the Month

David Ousted just keeps reaping in the accolades. The Vancouver Whitecaps Goalkeeper has been nominated for both Save of the Week, and for Player of the Month.

Of course, Ousted has already landed a spot on the Team of the week, so the dude had a pretty good day at the office.

Ousted has been a brick wall in net for the Whitecaps, and is emerging as their best player in 2015. He's also the reigning Save of the Week champ, after taking home the title last week.

This week, Ousted will need to fend off the MLS Goalkeeping cream of the crop, with names like Stefan Frei (SEA), Sean Johnson (CHI), Nick Rimando (RSL) and Luis Robles (NYRB) in the mix.

The link is here.

The staff over at MLSSoccer.com could have picked a number of quality stops from Ousted, but went with the beauty against London Woodberry.

Once you're done voting there, you can head over here to give Ousted a ballot for Player of the Month.

David Ousted, Vancouver Whitecaps —The veteran goalkeeper has led the Whitecaps to three straight wins, including a shutout over the LA Galaxy on June 6 and an eight-save effort vs. New England on Saturday.

Even more impressive, he stopped two Bradley Wright-Phillips penalty kicks in one game —a 2-1 victory over the New York Red Bulls on June 20.

The other names on the list include Sebastian Giovinco (TOR), Fanendo Adi (POR), Matias Perez Garcia (SJ), and C.J. Sapong (PHI).

It's very nice to see Ousted nominated, as he has been the catalyst behind their recent win streak and the only reason the Whitecaps have gotten points on a number of nights.
