After a snowed-out game Wednesday night, the Vancouver Whitecaps are set to retake the pitch at BC Place this Saturday to face another Eastern Conference team: Philadelphia Union. Kickoff is a bit earlier this week with the game beginning at 4pm. We take a few moment to preview the match-up.
Despite their success on the road this season, the Vancouver Whitecaps have been a little less than stellar at home with two wins, two loses (yikes!), and a draw. The Whitecaps will look to get their third win at home, while the Union will be seeking to end their four game winless streak and improve on their one win in 10 matches this season. Although this looks like an ideal matchup for the Whitecaps, we have heard those statements before and it seems that the Whitecaps like to make the tough games look easy and the easy games look....well....boring! History bears repeating, as the Whitecaps only victory against the Union came in their first match, at Empire Field. Since, the Union have a win (at BC Place) and two draws. We will see whether current form or history win out on Saturday night.
Will Rivero get back on the scoresheet? Do we see a start from Techera and/or Manneh? Can anyone else score? Does Kah get ONE MORE game?
What are your thoughts?
For those with tickets, make sure to arrive at 2pm for the Alumni game. It should be fun.
See you all Saturday afternoon!
