Whitecaps vs FC Edmonton Predicition

The Caps jump back into the Amway Canadian Championship after an early exit at the hand of Toronto FC this Wednesday against FC Edmonton. With the Impact making it to the final this year, you can expect Carl Robinson to look to make a real impact in the competition, meaning we might see some more farmiliar faces opposed to last year's starting XI made up of whats-his-name, the-guy-with-the-brown-hair and Bryce Alderson (sorry Bryce). Here is my Predicted Starting Line-Up (cut me some slack on this one, this is a complete guess).

Tornagi, Sampson, Dean, Parker, Adekugbe, Teibert, McKendry, Hurtado, Bustos, Froese, Earnshaw

Predicted Score:

4-0 (that's what I call squad depth)

Earnshaw (39), Hurtado (52), Froese (69), Teibert (83)

The Caps shush the critics of Vancouver's offence recently with a dominating performance over Edmonton. Robert Earnshaw finishes into the side-netting perfectly on the break after Kianz Frose puts him in with a splitting ball. Quickly after halftime, Erik Hurtado gets his first of the year with a cool back post header off of a Marco Bustos cross. Kianz Froese get's his first goal for the Caps after some neat interplay at the top of the box with him, Earnshaw and Bustos leads to him striking a hard low ball past the keeper. Russel Teibert grabs one late with a finish into the corner following a low cross.

Good Luck Caps!
