Whitecaps Captain Pedro Morales has been rewarded for a strong performance against the Philadelphia Union over the weekend; Morales has been named to the MLS Team of the Week, the only Whitecap to get the honor this time around.
Per the MLS release:
This guy is the heartbeat of the 'Caps. Made a great run and netted a savvy finish on his goal. Displayed good game management throughout Vancouver's 3-0 trouncing of the Union, and even assisted Mattocks' late goal.
Morales timed his run perfectly, and his cheeky finish into the net was a wonderful show of confidence.
Somehow, unbelievably, David Ousted was not on the starting 11 for the Team of the Week, but the Whitecaps keeper did make his way on to the bench.
