It appears that angry fans weren't the only ones questioning Edvin Jurisevic's decision to send off Pedro Morales on Saturday, as the Vancouver Whitecaps filed an official appeal this week. Unfortunately for the 'Caps, the appeal was denied and Pedro Morales will be suspended for the coming match vs Real Salt Lake.
Although the card appeared harsh, Pedro's combative behaviour towards Adam Jahn after the whistle was unnecessary and foolish. A captain shouldn't have to be restrained by his teammates. It will be interesting to see who takes the armband this weekend and whether the 'Caps can manage without the "Maestro" for a weekend.
Do you think the review panel made a mistake, should Pedro have been acquitted? Suspended for longer? Let us know in the comments.
