The Vancouver Whitecaps announced the addition of three more players to the WFC2 roster this morning with D Chris Serban (19), MF Brett Levis (21) and MF/Striker Jovan Blagojevic (21) all joining Alan Koch's squad.
All three players join WFC2 with impressive resumes. Serban joined the Whitecaps residency in 2014 and was also named the 2014 CIS Rookie of the Year while playing for the UBC Thunderbirds. In addition to helping the Caps U-18's to a second place in the Northwest Division in 2014, Serban also played 11 matches for the Whitecaps U-23's in the USL Premier Development League.
Levis was a First Team All-Canadian and led the Canada West Conference with 9 goals after an impressive season with the University of Saskatchewan Huskies in 2014. Levis also made 14 appearances (12 starts) for the Whitecaps U-23's and recorded 12 goals and 5 assists with the now defunct Victoria Highlanders in 2013.
Striker Jovan Blagojevic brings an equally impressive resume to the table, having scored 38 goals in 71 appearances for the Simon Fraser University. Blagojevic is coming off a season in which he was in spectacular form for the Clan, scoring 18 goals in 18 matches. This impressive season earned Jovan the 2014 NCAA West Region Player of the Year, the GNAC (Great Northwest Athletic Conference) Player of the Year and earned second team All-American honours.
