The Vancouver Whitecaps have suspended midfielder Sahil Sandhu, after the 24 year old prospect was charged with sexual assault. The club isn't releasing my details at this time, although they have confirmed the suspension.
According to multiple reports, including those from The Province and Vancouver Sun newspaper, the alleged incident occurred on December 3rd, and involved Sanhdu allegedly groping a nightclub waitress.
The surrey native will be in court on Tuesday.
Sandhu saw time with WFC 2 this season, and is part of the Whitecaps Youth Development program.
