According to TSN's Kristian Jack right back Steven Beitashour will not be coming back to the Vancouver Whitecaps for 2016. Beitashour, who joined the Whitecaps in 2014 after playing five seasons with his hometown San Jose Eathquakes, had his contract option declined by the Whitecaps last week.

Vancouver media reported that the Caps and Beitashour were still talking about a new contract as recently as Wednesday of this week, but Jack's report indicates that they were unable to reach a deal.
As of 4:30pm there has been no official announcement on Beitashour's status from the Whitecaps, Toronto FC or from Beitashour himself.
