The Vancouver Whitecaps have announced Defenders Jordan Smith and Kendall Waston have been called up to the Costa Rican National squad, for an upcoming match against Nicaragua.
The match is happening on Tuesday, December 15th in Costa Rica.
The 24 year old Smith and the 27 year old Waston both have previous experience on the International stage, according to the Whitecaps official press release.
"The backline duo, both San José natives, previously featured together in the 1-0 friendly win over Canada at Commonwealth Stadium in Edmonton, Alberta on May 28, 2013. Smith will be looking to make his second senior international cap, while Waston's next appearance will be his sixth in his career.
It will be a chance for Waston to continue his monster season, while Smith will hopefully see the pitch and gain some valuable experience during the call-up.
Congratulations to the pair!
