Pedro Morales' brilliant two-goal performance in the thrilling 4-3 victory over the Portland Timbers has earned the Chilean midfielder a spot in the MLS Team of the Week. Morales also assisted on the goals scored by Erik Hurtado and Jordan Harvey and had a total of ten shots on the night. In addition to being selected to the Team of the Week, Morales was also named the Man of the Match for his dominating performance in the Rose City.
In other news, it was confirmed that the Iranian National team has included fullback Steven Beitashour in their final twenty-three man roster for the World Cup that is set to begin next week in Brazil. Beitashour will face his Vancouver Whitecaps teammate, Carlyle Mitchell, when Iran play their final friendly match against Trinidad and Tobago on June 8th in São Paolo.
On behalf of the Eighty Six Forever team I would like to extend our congratulations to Pedro and Steven. Well done, fellas!
