Here we go again; another week, another big game. After a disappointing series of results in the month of August the Whitecaps will try to get back on track and back into a playoff spot at the expense of Chivas USA when they visit BC Place this Sunday afternoon. After a good run of form that saw them at one point sitting in 2nd position in the Western Conference the 'Caps now find themselves currently in 7th spot. Chivas have made plenty of headlines this year for all the wrong reasons, but last weekend's 3-2 victory over the New York Red Bulls gave Chivas fans something good to cheer about. The Whitecaps have been all about 'achieving' firsts this season and finally winning an MLS match in the month of September would be another 'first'. Make no mistake about it though; if the Whitecaps are going to keep up with the leading pack and make it into the MLS post season for a second straight year then they'll have to find ways to keep winning and racking up the points each and every game from here on out. It's gut check time, folks - there's no more room for 'moral victories'. Every game counts!
