PASADENA, CA - Canada lost their opening group match today to non-FIFA member Martinique. Canada was outplayed during the match and was literally seconds from salvaging a draw when they could not clear a Martinique corner kick in the dying seconds of second half injury time. The ball fell to Martinique player Fabrice Reuperne who unleashed a blast that beat Canadian 'keeper Milan Borjan. Canada's next match is a difficult one versus Mexico at Century Link Field in Seattle on Thursday July 11th.
