Back in Action?

According to Tyler Green of Team Radio Whitecaps manager Martin Rennie announced today that Jay DeMerit may be available to play in the reserve match on Sunday at Jeld-Wen Field in Portland. It would be the first time DeMerit has seen any playing time since injuring his Achilles tendon during the season opener versus Toronto FC on March 2nd. Rennie said they will know for certain whether or not Jay will play on Sunday later this week. It was initially expected that DeMerit would miss the rest of the 2013 MLS campaign when he was hurt.
