The Vancouver Whitecaps announced today that striker Darren Mattocks underwent successful surgery to his right knee yesterday.
The procedure was a partial meniscectomy, and while there is no official timetable on his return, but multiple reports suggest it should be around 4 weeks.
Mattocks missed last week's match against the L.A. Galaxy because of his injured right knee.
After an electrifying rookie season, Mattocks has been pushed to the bench for the most part in 2013.
Mostly, his uninspired play was to blame, but the meteoric rise of Camilo, Kenny Miller, and Russell Teibert haven't helped either.
