A report has surfaced in the Daily Mail today that Rangers FC believe that striker Kenny Miller is set to sign a new deal with the Vancouver Whitecaps. The rumor that Miller, who has twice played for Rangers in his career, was going to rejoin the Glasgow club once the transfer embargo placed on the club is lifted on September 1, 2013. Speaking this evening Whitecaps' manager Martin Rennie said that "Kenny will definitely be here until the end of the season" and "hopefully for a lot longer than that" forcing Rangers boss Ally McCoist to conclude that he may not be able to bring Miller back to Ibrox after all. The Scottish international has become an important piece in the Whitecaps' offence this season along side Russell Teibert and Camilo Sanvezzo. Miller's professionalism on and off the pitch has made him a popular player with the Vancouver fans, who have tired of the constant transfer rumors this season. While this story is by no means over Whitecaps' supporters may feel a little more confident this evening that Miller may yet be wearing the Blue and White of the Vancouver Whitecaps for some time to come.
