Vancouver Whitecaps forward Camilo Sanvezzo is an enigmatic fellow, but it's hard to see these four tweets over the past thirty-six hours as a good sign.

Camilo's unlikely to just jump: he's in the second year of a two-year contract with a further two-year club option. However, he certainly doesn't sound too happy.

From the Korean news, it's said to be a one-year deal with a club option for 2013; nothing yet on salary numbers.

With Jay Nolly's upcoming option declined, and his availability in the Re-Entry Process, many thought his days with the Whitecaps were over, as his salary was already very low. The updated list of players available in the REP has been updated by MLS today and it appears that Nolly, along with Joe Cannon and John Thorrington, have been removed from the list of available players.

It is my agent who knows an old coach (Teitur Thordarsson) in Vancouver. Then I've been interested in it and that is why it happened things.

That's the Google translation of a choice quote from an Aftonbladet article saying Swedish fourth-division defender Anton Hysen has been offered a contract by the Whitecaps.

Hysen turns 21 in two weeks and is best known for being Glenn Hysen's son as well as making a public announcement earlier this year about his homosexuality. The Swedish fourth division isn't exactly MLS quality; I'd rather have David Testo. But it's interesting that the Teitur Thordarson connection might still be sending players Vancouver's way.

Autre détail qui était passé sous le radar au milieu des récentes annonces, l'Impact a retenu les droits d'Étienne Barbara et Brad Rusin, des RailHawks de la Caroline.

Le Journal de Montreal is reporting that the Montreal Impact have acquired the MLS rights to Carolina Railhawks forward Etienne Barbara, the leading scorer in the past NASL season. Also potentially headed to Montreal is defender Brad Rusin, who was one of Martin Rennie's leading players before joining Danish Superliga side HB Køge.

Given the interest and speculation surrounding the Whitecaps possibly taking a few Railhawks players to go with their coach, it's interesting that their highest-profile player appears to already be off the board. He's not the one I wanted anyway; I'm a John Krause advocate.

According to Washington Post columnist Steven Goff, Vancouver Whitecaps forward Omar Salgado is part of the Generation Adidas team heading on a tour of the Netherlands starting next week.

Vancouver Whitecaps striker Omar Salgado, the No. 1 overall pick in the 2011 MLS Draft, will train with English club Fulham once the current U.S. Under-23 national team camp in Germany finishes up this week, sources told SBI on Tuesday.

Ives Galarcep, proprietor of the well-known Soccer by Ives, reports that Vancouver Whitecaps forward Omar Salgado is on his way to train with Fulham of the English Premier League.

Of course, Galarcep also reports that Salgado has "impressive technical ability" which is overselling it a bit, but this is still a good opportunity for the 18-year-old Salgado. Best of luck to him.

Our own SB Nation Arizona hub has broken the news that a number of MLS clubs, including the Vancouver Whitecaps, as well as FC Edmonton of the North American Soccer League will be training at Grande Sports World in Case Grande, Arizona.

The other Major League Soccer teams reportedly heading to Arizona are Real Salt Lake, the Seattle Sounders, the New England Revolution, and the New York Red Bulls.

Bob Lenarduzzi, Whitecaps FC president, has finally given fans what they wanted - a professional soccer team and now, his own book. Long before he became the president of Vancouver Whitecaps FC, he was a gifted player and an out-spoken advocate for soccer. His new book, Bob Lenarduzzi: A Canadian Soccer Story, co-authored by long-time sports journalist Jim Taylor, pays homage to Bob’s career and all he has done for the grass-roots growth of the sport.
