Long title huh. Speaking of long, how about this wait for our first Canadian Championship, eh? Well I guess it's hard to call it a wait since we've never won the darn thing. The Caps will be desperately looking to change that, starting this Wednesday in Toronto.
I wouldn't compare the Toronto FC from last year to the one this year. With the likes of Defoe, Bradley, Cesar, and Gilberto gracing the field, you might say we would be lucky to move on to the finals. Now, we musn't forget that TFC hasn't had the best home performances in the MLS, after losing their last two games at BMO field to the Rapids and Revolution. Who knows if Carl Robinson will park the bus or try and snatch three points? I certainly don't, considering I have only got two of my predictions correct this season. Regardless, here is my Predicted Starting Line-Up.
Ousted, Harvey, O'Brien, Leveron, Beitashour, Koffie, Laba, Manneh, Mezquida, Teibert, Hurtado
2-1 for Toronto
Defoe (2), Rey (38), Mezquida (77)
Jermain Defoe ignites the home fans by finishing with ease, after a superb Michael Bradley ball splits Jordan Harvey and Johnny Leveron. TFC goes two up after Alvaro Rey's belter finds the top corner from far out. However, Nicolas Mezquida scores a valuable goal in the first leg semi-final by pouncing on a low cross driven in by Kekuta Manneh.
