Is this the only time the Caps have lost at home before the road? Jose Mari definitely thinks so. Following their first loss, the Vancouver Whitecaps travel down to Hollywood to face the star-studded Galaxy, Laba-less.
Los Angeles is coming off a impressive road match... in their own stadium? No, time travel was not involved. Chivas USA, the second L.A. team hosted their California rivals, only to be smacked around 3-0. After watching this game, I can say I am a lot more scared of the Galaxy then what I previously saw in their two matches against RSL. The strike partnership of Donovan and Keane may be the best in the league.
However, one must not be naive when looking at the Galaxy roster. Although players like Robbie Keane, Omar Gonazalez, and Landon Donavon are stars in the MLS, they also have big paychecks in the MLS. Their high salaries force the Los Angeles Galaxy into a cheap corner, where only bargain buys are affordable. The Galaxy suffer most in the midfield and fullbacks, and you can expect the Caps to exploit these holes. Now, to my predicted starting line-up.
Ousted, Beitashour, Demerit, O'Brien, Harvey, Reo-C, Koffie, Teibert, Morales, Miller, Mattocks
1-0 for the Galaxy
The Caps will return to Vancouver with no points, after Robbie Keane slots home a penalty after a cross hits Beitashour in the arm.
Good Luck Caps, prove me wrong!
