A Vancouver side who hasn’t won got three points in over three weeks travels down south to visit an undefeated Salt Lake side who look to be a real title contender. Real Salt Lake are known for being a functioning machine, particularly in the middle of the pitch, boasting MLS stars such as Javier Morales, Kyle Beckerman, Alvaro Saborio and Nick Rimando. An excellent performance from the Caps (as well as some recently-lacking luck) could just get them a point, or maybe more. Here is my Predicted Starting Line-up.
Ousted, Beitashour, O’Brien, Demerit, Harvey, Reo-C, Laba, Teibert, Morales, Manneh, Mattocks
Predicted Score: 1-1
Garcia (52), Miller (71)
Vancouver earns a deserved point after a spirited performance. Olmes Garcia scores first for Real Salt Lake, rounding the keeper after going one-on-one with Ousted following a long ball from Kyle Beckerman. A substituted Kenny Miller levels the match when his flicked on header from Morales’s corner beats Rimando.
Good Luck Caps!
