In the first of three matches against a strong Colorado Rapids side, we will certainly get to know our Western Conference brothers quite well. In fact, almost 33% of our remaining games are against the Rapids. A tough match, but one we need to go in to looking for a win. Anything less then a point will be disappointing.
This match will hope to welcome back Scottish striker Kenny Miller back into the starting XI. After his go ahead goal in the "friendly" between historic rivals Scotland and England, Kenny will look to get back into his scoring ways.
As well, this match welcomes both Darren Mattocks and Andy O'Brien back. Andy was available against the San Jose Earthquakes, but Martin Rennie opted out, instead selecting Carlyle Mitchell. Darren came back in to full training after a month long injury. Martin Rennie had said the young Jamaican had his "best training session" this week. In the case Kenny Miller is to fatigue to start, Darren Mattocks would certainly contest the trio of Tommy Heinemann, Eric Hurtado and Kekuta Manneh.
Now, my Predicted Starting Line-Up:
Ousted, Harvey, O'Brien, Leveron, Lee, Koffie, Reo-C, Kobayashi, Miller, Camilo, Teibert
Camilo (6), Harris (33), Powers (43), Kobayashi (73)
Camilo gives us the surprise goal early on after a lay off from Kenny Miller on a quick break is finished by the wee Brazilian. Former Cap, Atiba Harris comes back to bite us after Harvey is caught out too high, and a Colorado attack capitalizes. The big midfielder, Dillon Powers fires one in from just outside the box, into the bottom corner after bad marking on a free kick. Daigo Kobayashi ties us up, after a short corner is turned in by the Japanaese midfielder from a Teibert pass.
Good Luck Caps!
