A feather in the cap for Kenny Miller!
He entered the season as a maligned, fan punching bag, but after one match, Kenny Miller will wear the Captain's armband.
Well, for now, anyways.
Head Coach Martin Rennie announced today that a rotation of 2 to 3 senior players would share the armband on a game by game basis, with Miller donning it first. Miller was also bestowed the honor for most of last Saturday's match, when Jay Demerit came out after seven minutes of work.
It's a big show of confidence for the Scottish striker, as poor play and a fat contract made him an easy target of criticism for fans and media.
However, he appeared revitalized against Toronto, speeding up and down the pitch, getting somewhat involved in the attack, but most importantly, showing his hustle coming back.
No word yet on who the other potential captains are.
