News Break! Brad Davis won't suit up for the Dynamo against the Whitecaps

The Vancouver Whitecaps upcoming match against the Houston Dynamo should be just a tad easier, as star midfielder Brad Davis has been called up to play for the United States in international duty. He isn't alone either; the club will also be missing Boniek Garcia and Jermaine Taylor due to international duty as well.

It means the Dynamo will be without one of the premier passers and creative minds in the MLS when they play, a boost for a 'Caps squad that will be missing their best striker so far in this young season, Kenny Miller. Miller has international duty of his own to take care of.

It also means the 'Caps backline will have one less offensive weapon to worry about, as they continue their season without Captain Jay Demerit. That being said, taking Davis out of the Dynamo lineup doesn't exactly render the squad toothless; they still have plenty of players that can do damage on the pitch.

I won't delve too far into the subject and spoil the match preview that will run later this week, but with the Dynamo coming off two consecutive losses (CONCACAF/Texas Derby), and the 'Caps coming in rested after a bye week, the stars might just be alinging for the boys from Van City to improve to 3-0.
