Last week I posted a poll question to ascertain the mood amongst Whitecaps fans for the coming season. Admittedly the tenor of the questions was somewhat on the downbeat side but, hey, these are still early days and the team is yet to fully take shape. I'd like to thank everybody for voting (although to be fair all you were doing was clicking a mouse) and without further ado announce the sensational results in reverse order, after the jump;
7% Thought that the Whitecaps would not play a game at BC Place this year.
8% Predicted that the team would sign a big name designated player (obviously they had inside knowledge of the Hassli signing!).
14% Thought that Omar Salgado would not score a goal this season.
28% Expected Vancouver to finish below Portland and Seattle in the standings.
And the winner with 42% was the expectation that the Whitecaps would not make the play-offs.
We'll see who turns out to be right and who turns out to be very very wrong, and tomorrow I'll try to post a more upbeat poll question.
